I have had many experiences in business during the last 30 years. Some of the things that were more successful than others, and I know the value of having to re-strategize my approach and review what it was going to take to turn things around and always maximize my company’s performance.
I grew up in Temple Terrace, son of Edward Earl Cambas whom worked in the Hillsborough County School Systems for almost 30 years and succumbed to Diabetes prior to reaching age 60. My father was so smart and all the student population at Temple Terrace Elementary really seemed to take a special liking to his cause. My dad was a student at Hillsborough High School in Tampa FL and graduated in 1953. After high school and leading the Trumpet section in the band, Earl was able to apply his talents at the University of Tampa where he graduated with honors and then went on to Peabody University in Nashville Tennessee where he got his Master’s Degree in Education.
My ancestor’s on my father’s side of the family are from the Galecia region of Spain. I just find it so interesting and amazing that my family came to the United States via a stop over in Havana Cuba. Antonio Cambas made his way by ship to Havana sometime in the early 1920’s in search of the ultimate experience of learning the “Cuban” cigar trade.
